Happy Birthday Brenda!!

I felt so lucky the week before we left for San Francisco. My friend Brenda, who works in our Seattle office, came to town. She’s a dear friend who I just adore. I usually see her at meetings, but this time, she was working on a project. We always take a picture when we are together and sadly, we are often pretty drunk in the photos. But this time, we were sober and on our way out to dinner. She’s one in a million and today is her birthday!!

Happy Birthday Adam

Last weekend, we took a road trip up to San Fran for our little friend Adam’s first birthday. David and Steven planned an amazing party with a Western theme. He is just one of the cutest little guys are Earth. We spent a lot of time playing with him to keep him busy as they were setting up. They were kind enough to let us stay with them. Sadly, Rich was sick so we only met him for a quick lunch. It was a whirlwind weekend! We drove up on Friday and hit the road on Sunday. We drove down the 101 and stayed a night in Santa Barbara. We got him the little lion sitting next to him, but the bag seemed like a bigger hit!

A couple of weeks ago, a company called schmap e-mailed me and asked if they could use this photo in their NY online photo guide. They seem to use a lot of flickr photos, but I was excited none the less. here is the link - it’s a cool site too:

Dodger Day

My CEO gave me tickets to the Dodger’s Game today. The seats are very close and I was happy to be able to take Tim, Joe and Monique. It was so HOT- 99 degrees at the stadium! I’m sad to report that the soy dogs are no longer there, but we did have hummus and veggies and heavenly garlic fries. The Dodger’s won and we had a lot of fun and sweat!

TV Guide

If you still have your 4/21-4/27 TV Guide, look for my friend Judy Ludy! She’s on page 34 in an article about Michael Urie who is on Ugly Betty. She works with his production company. I loved TV Guide growing up and was so excited to find one of my friends in there!

Let the Games Begin….

I’m not sure how, but I have not followed basketball at all - neither has Tim. Yesterday, we figured out that play-off season started. We watched the Phoenix-San Antonio game yesterday and it was amazing. It went in to double overtime and both teams were on fire. I’m sure my brother was thrilled to see San Antonio to win. I want Steve Nash to get a ring, but I can’t imagine anyone getting past San Antonio!

We also watched “Beowulf” last night, which was good - not great, but good. I came away with a lot of questions. When I did some research, I figured out that the movie makers took a lot of liberties with the story. I’m not sure they were the best choices, but it was entertaining.

Roses are really gorgeous right now. My neighbor has several pots full of them. We started out for a walk and I ran up to get my camera. These purple roses are so pretty.

40!

Filed under Family, Tim on Saturday April 12, 2008 at 4:34 pm

Last weekend, we went up to Portland to celebrate Tim’s 40th birthday! We had a party at the Lucky Lab in Multnomah. Chip & Drifty rocked the house. So many friends and family came, it was a special night and one that neither of us will forget! I feel like I got the best of both worlds. When I turned 40, I didn’t want a party. I’m not a party person, but I wanted to go to London. So we had a big trip with Rich in October. But Tim wanted a party, so I got to enjoy a party too! We had around 65 people- he’s a popular guy! I have a bit of event-mourning! There was so much to do and now it’s quiet. At the same time, it was nice this morning to get up and know I had no where to go and nothing to confirm!!
